Using Veld
These terms apply to Veld’s website and livestock management service, operated by WB Tech Ventures LLC. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you use Veld for a farm or business, you must be authorised to act for it.
You must have the legal capacity to enter this agreement. Give accurate account information, keep your login secure and use individual team logins rather than sharing a password. Contact us promptly about unauthorised account use.
What the service provides
Veld provides tools for managing livestock records, exploring recorded pedigrees, preparing breeding plans, working with connected services and using AI to understand records or prepare drafts. Available features depend on your plan and the services supported at the time.
Veld is independent software. Logix and SA Stud Book are separate services with their own accounts, terms and permissions. We do not control their availability, data accuracy or approval of submitted records. Our partnership with Melampus Beefmasters does not mean we are SA Stud Book or an official genetic evaluation authority.
Your records and responsibilities
You retain the rights you have in records and files you provide. You give us permission to store, process, transmit and display them as needed to operate the service for you, support your account and carry out your instructions.
You must have permission to upload and share the material, connect accounts, access requested records and submit information to external services. Keep copies of important records and check identifiers, dates, ownership, parentage and other details before saving or submitting changes.
Do not use Veld to access information without permission, submit false registrations, infringe another person’s rights, distribute harmful content, bypass access controls or interfere with the service.
AI, breeding information and human review
AI can make mistakes, omit information or provide an unsuitable suggestion. Check AI responses and extracted fields against the original records. Generated drafts are not proof of identity, parentage, genetic merit, breeding soundness or registration.
Breeding comparisons depend on the quality and completeness of recorded data and compatible evaluation sources. They do not guarantee an outcome and do not replace veterinary advice, breeding-soundness checks or advice from a qualified genetics professional.
You decide whether to save a draft, approve a plan or submit records. An upload being sent does not mean Logix has accepted, registered or approved it. AI requests can involve external processing as explained in the Privacy policy.
Memberships and recurring billing
Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. Current standard prices are Pro at $49.99 USD per month, Premium at $99.99 USD per month and Ultra at $199.99 USD per month, plus applicable taxes. The plan, price, currency and billing terms shown at checkout apply to your purchase.
Pro includes 250 monthly AI credits and up to 3 team members. Premium includes 1,000 monthly AI credits and up to 10 team members. Ultra includes 2,500 monthly AI credits and up to 25 team members. The account owner is included in the team limit, and the team uses the account’s shared credit balance.
Stripe processes payment details and recurring charges. You authorise charges for the subscription and any additional purchase you confirm. We will notify you of material changes to a recurring price before they take effect, as required by applicable law.
The Premium trial
Eligible accounts can start a 3-day Premium trial through Stripe Checkout. A payment method is required. The trial includes 200 AI credits added to the top-up balance.
When the trial ends, Premium automatically continues at $99.99 USD per month, plus applicable taxes, unless you cancel before the trial ends. Cancel through Account & billing → Manage subscription in Veld. The trial end date and next charge are shown in your billing information.
Unused trial credits stay in the top-up balance. Having credits does not by itself provide an active membership or ongoing access to paid features. Trial eligibility and the offer shown at checkout apply.
AI credits and top-ups
AI credits are a service allowance, not money or model tokens. The credits used depend on the work requested and the model or processing involved. Monthly membership credits refresh with the applicable paid billing period and do not roll over. Monthly credits are used before top-up credits.
You can buy additional credits through the purchase options shown in Veld. Purchased top-ups do not expire, but an active membership may be required to use paid features. Credits are not transferable between unrelated accounts and cannot be redeemed for cash except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Cancellation, refunds and billing help
You can manage or cancel your subscription through Account & billing → Manage subscription. Cancellation stops future renewals and normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Cancel a trial before it ends to avoid the first subscription charge.
Contact admin@wbtechventures.com if you cannot access cancellation or believe a charge is incorrect. Cancelling does not automatically refund an already paid period or a top-up purchase. Refunds and remedies required by applicable consumer law remain available, and we will consider other billing issues individually.
Cancelling a subscription does not itself delete your records. Export important information before closing an account and contact us to request account deletion.
Teams and connected accounts
The farm account owner is responsible for the subscription, team access and actions authorised within the account. Admins can manage the access available to their role. Remove access when a person no longer needs it.
Connecting Logix authorises Veld to use the supplied credentials for the actions you request or settings you enable. Optional automatic incoming checks can run while Veld is open. You can turn these checks off or disconnect the account in Connections. External service terms, permissions and any charges imposed by those services are separate from Veld’s membership.
Availability and service changes
We aim to provide a useful, reliable service, but access may be interrupted by maintenance, outages or third-party changes. Features and supported integrations may change. We may restrict access to address non-payment, security issues or misuse, and will provide notice where appropriate and required.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee that the service, AI output or third-party records will always be complete, accurate, available or suitable for a particular breeding or business outcome. Nothing in these terms excludes a consumer guarantee, remedy or liability that the law does not allow us to exclude.
Privacy, changes and questions
Our Privacy policy explains how information is handled. We may update these terms and will change the date on this page. We will give notice of material changes where required. Changes affecting an existing purchase remain subject to applicable law and the billing terms agreed for that purchase.
